I was born in Dundee, Scotland, and I’ve been aware of spirit for as long as I can remember. As a child, it seemed so normal to me that I assumed everyone could see what I could see. It was only as I grew older that I realised my experience was different.
My great aunt had been a transfiguration medium, although she passed away before I was born. For a long time, I tried to fit in and live an ordinary life. Spirit, however, seemed to have other plans for me.
I was very close to my parents. When my dad died, my awareness of spirit became much stronger. His loss was painful, but it also changed the way I understood the gift I had carried since childhood.
I began working in spiritual churches across the UK, Ireland and Shetland, and later travelled to the United States and Canada. A medium from Dundee named Jenny Brown took me under her wing and helped me develop my abilities and the confidence to use them. I also studied at the Arthur Findlay College, where I was invited by Glyn Edwards to demonstrate mediumship in the Sanctuary.
Over the years, I found that the most meaningful part of this work was helping people who were grieving. My aim in a reading is to offer a connection that feels personal, specific and comforting.
I was invited to take part in International Battle of the Psychics, a televised competition filmed in Ukraine. At the time, I had recently lost both my husband and my mum. Leaving my teenage son at home and travelling alone to Kyiv for seven months was one of the hardest things I’ve done.
The competition brought together mediums from around the world. I was voted Psychic of the Week five times and went on to win the series with more than 54% of the final vote. The experience changed my life and introduced my work to an international audience.
One of the judges, Uri Geller, spoke warmly about the detail in my readings. I’ve since had the opportunity to work with people from many walks of life, including actors, musicians and other well-known figures. But the person sitting opposite me in a private reading matters just as much as anyone you might recognise from television.
Today I offer private readings and live events, travelling to meet people in different places while staying close to my roots in Dundee. I also enjoy supporting charities through my work and meeting people after my shows.
I know that people often come to me at difficult times. I never take their trust lightly. Whether we meet at an event or in a private reading, I hope you feel welcome, heard and able to take something comforting away from our time together.
